Organization Overview
CRM is an interdenominational, international sending agency headquartered in Anaheim, California. Its mission is to develop leaders to start and strengthen churches worldwide. Its 350 staff serves in 25 countries around the world. Annual revenue for 2007 was $15MM. Staff and organizational support-including finance, IT, donor development, human resources, recruiting, and creative services-is provided through CRM's Central Support Team. This team is comprised of 24 staff and operates on a budget of $3MM.
Position Description
The director of Ministry to Donors (M2D) is expected to give leadership to CRM's development functions with integrity, effectiveness, and in alignment with CRM's values and beliefs. This includes managing CRM's Ministry to Donors (M2D) team; supporting CRM's M2D activities including personally cultivating major donors; establishing and achieving goals for funds acquisition; hiring and directing staff; planning, budgeting, and accounting for results; and ensuring a high level of donor satisfaction. In addition, the person in this position will serve as a member of the management team of CRM's Central Support Team (CST), which provides organizational and spiritual leadership for the operations support, resource acquisition, and organizational development for CRM.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of Development function including projects, proposals, promotions, and events. Oversee and develop M2D department organization, staff, and operations in order to achieve fund acquisition goals.
Identify and cultivate major donors and prospects. Oversee M2D field representatives doing same. Develop an effective donor/prospect contact management system, history, and reports.
Plan, allocate, and track fund acquisition goals and strategy. Develop measures of success, reports, and department budgets. Oversee team that identifies and seeks Foundation grants. Establish and execute Planned Giving function.
Manage M2D staff in ways that builds competence, trust, collaboration, and initiative. Continually improve and develop work processes and relationships to achieve effective partnerships with field and office staff.
Prepare and coordinate meetings and activities of any volunteer fundraising leadership teams that emerge, including the Development Committee of the CRM Board.
Serve on Management Group for Central Support Team (CST) and participate in deliberations and activities that will improve CST's systems, personnel, structure, policies, goals, etc.
Maintain a work environment of excellence, productivity, collegiality, and respect for God. Work collaboratively with CRM field staff, executive eadership, board, outside consultants, and vendors to promote CRM's development goals and philosophy.

Background and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
5 years experience in development, marketing, or a similar function within a nonprofit organization.
5 years experience in progressively more responsible positions of management
5 years experience in ministry leadership (lay or professional)
