CSA Certification Program
The CSA Certified Stewardship Professional program is designed to promote professional standards, enhance individual performance and identify professionals who demonstrate the knowledge essential to the practice of Christian Stewardship. Through field experience, education and commitment, individuals will gain the necessary skills to wear the CSP designation.

The Requirements for earning the Certified Stewardship Professional (CSP)
The following requirements must be met to obtain certification as a Certified Stewardship Professional (CSP):
- Enrollment in the program.
- Five years of documented experience in the Christian Stewardship field.
- Five points earned from the following options:
- 1 point (REQUIRED) - Attendance and participation in the Biblical Foundations course at the CSA Steward Leadership Institute.
- 1 point — Accredited higher education degree in one of the following disciplines: Bible/theology/business/marketing/fundraising/management. A maximum of 1 point will be awarded for higher education.
- 0.10 point — attendance at one CSA workshop held during the CSA Annual Conference.
- 0.50 point — attendance at one CSA Preconference Intensive session held in conjunction with the CSA Annual Conference
- 0.10 point — attendance at one CSA phone seminar
- 1 point — attendance and participation at one CSA Steward Leadership Institute
- Up to 1.0 points can be earned through approved non-CSA education. Courses must be submitted for approval before course is taken.
- Certification enrollees must earn a minimum of .30 points in each of the following areas:
- Planned Giving
- Annual Fund
- Major Donor/Donor Relations
- Foundations/Grants
- Capital Campaigns
- Communication/Marketing
Attendance at a Steward Leadership Institute Course, a Preconference Intensive Session or three conference workshops within the topic track fulfills the core requirement for the topic area.
NOTE: You must be enrolled in the Certification program in order to earn points for Institutes/workshops.
Enrollment:
Enrollment in the program is open to anyone in the Christian Stewardship field. To enroll in the program, the applicant must complete the enrollment application and submit the initial application fee of $175.00 (members)/ $200 (non-members). Enrollment is required prior to accumulating points.

Recertification:
Your CSP designation must be recertified every three years. Recertification requires that you earn two education points every three years. One point must be earned by attending a Steward Leadership Institute Course. The additional point can be earned through CSA workshops at a CSA conference, CSA Preconference Intensive Sessions and CSA Phone Seminars. Each workshop/phone seminar attended is valued at .10 point and Preconference Intensive sessions are valued at .50 point.
The fee for recertification is $90 (members)/$125 (non-members).
